It was my first trip to New York last October and it was a magical experience …

I can tell you that as a Wedding Planner from Provence, it was a radical change. Not because I never go out of my Provence, no, no, I assure you, the United States I already knew but it was not the same. Travel knows me, I do not stop.

Bon j’en reviens à mes moutons.

I was there as a collaborator of Amandine Taravellier of the Opaline agency for the first 3-day WorkShop she organized with her acolyte Florence Devallière Croizer. Getting out of my comfort zone, expanding my network, interacting with professionals in the New York wedding industry and many other things, brought me a lot and especially evolve as a Wedding Planner. Pfiouuuu !!

The goal of this semi-professional and semi family vacation trip was that I accompanied Amandine during the WorkShop and that I immerse myself in this city and that I meet the New York service providers. It was just great! Also present were wedding professionals from the south of France, weddings planners, photographers, videographers, decorators.

Little more? Accompany a couple of very charming brides and grooms in the administrative offices with Amandine. The place where all couples must pass in order to get permission to get married in NYC.

But also attend a shoot!

This photo was taken by the talented Christophe Serrano.

  • The menus and gift boxes were created by Aurore Begey Bertrant of Aurore Zeste d’Amour.
The floral decoration was done by Corinne L Floral Designer, The Ninon Flowers, LK Deco and Fleursdumois Floral Design.

It was also an opportunity for me to take my husband and my 14-year-old son who dreamed of going to New York. “Mamannn when are we going to New York? That’s what he’s been hammering in my ears for 8 years! The opportunity for us to visit all these mythical places, the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, the Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park etc … We walked kilometer.

C’est vraiment une ville magique, enivrante ayant une énergie très très très spéciale.

New York New York, I would come back for sure …
